Hargest Crescent
Monday to Friday.
Our teaching team
All around you will see children busy at work alongside each other, making choices for play that engage them with the people, the places and the things of our environment and community. Children can access a range of resources , and learning occurs in all spaces at the child’s pace. Our programme has a strong focus on social competency - getting along well with others, being able to form and maintain relationships, and responding in adaptive ways in social settings. Tamariki are encouraged to be mindful and in awe of the world around them, and respectful of the environment they play and learn in.
Our beautiful outside area has lots of room for children to explore and to develop their physical skills, with a variety of moveable equipment that allows children to set their own challenges, with green grass, barked areas, gardens, and equipment specially designed to support children’s physical growth and development. Our big trees provide shelter outside in all weather, and we have peaceful, quiet areas for calm and reflection.
You're always welcome here - community and connectedness are at the heart of what we do at Kidsfirst. We value the relationships we build with our whānau/families, and look forward to making new connections. The language, culture and identity of our families are included in our early learning journey and bring richness to our programme.
We have strong links with our local primary schools, which supports the transition to school for you and your child, as he/she moves on from Kindergarten. We would recommend that you enrol initially for at least two full days –building up to five days at your child's pace.
Nau mai, tauti mai - come in any time, we are very proud of our unique learning environment and would love to show you around. Kidsfirst Kindergartens Hargest Crescent is a wonderful place to learn!
